IRISH AT GETTYSBURG – MARCH
An Inns of the Gettysburg Area Event
General Hancock will lead us on a battlefield walk following the path of the Irish Brigade at the Battle of Gettysburg at 1 PM. Join us for dinner at the Dobbin House at 6:30 PM followed by a presentation by the General and associates. Entree choices: Salmon, Hunter-style Chicken or Prime Rib. $55 for adults; $40 for children ages 10 and under. Tickets for this event are $55/person. Meet at the National Cemetery at 1 PM for a walk with a Licensed Battlefield Guide as he tells the story of how the cemetery came to be and the visit paid by President Lincoln on November 19, 1863 when he delivered one of the most famous speeches in American history. At 6:30 pm we will meet at the Dobbin House for dinner with the President (Lincoln) himself, followed by reminiscences from the President. ONE HUNDRED NIGHTS OF TAPS
The notes of Taps will fill the air in Gettysburg every evening this summer as the famous 24-note call is sounded in honor of those who have served our nation. The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania, in partnership with Gettysburg National Military Park and Taps for Veterans, invite the public to attend One Hundred Nights of Taps between Memorial Day and Labor Day at the Soldiers’ National Monument in the Gettysburg National Cemetery.
RE-ENACTMENT OF THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG- JULY
Let the history books come alive with the re-enactment of the Battle of Gettysburg. You can see battle reenactments, field demonstrations, a large living history village, living history activity tents, guest speakers, and an extensive Sutler area. Thousands of re-enactors from across the nation and around the world will be staging the battle reenactments for this very special reenactment.

The National Apple Harvest Festival, which is held during the first two weekends in October, has been celebrating beautiful crafts, great music and wonderful food for forty-nine years. The festival has something for everyone with hundreds of arts and crafts dealers, demonstrations, contests, food stands, and entertainment.
CHAMBERLAIN AT GETTYSBURG – NOVEMBER
Sponsored by the Inns of the Gettysburg Area, spend the weekend getting to know Joshua Chamberlain of the 20th Maine, who saved the left flank of the Union line during the battle of Gettysburg with his famous bayonet charge.
DEDICATION DAY – NOVEMBER
Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address featuring prominent speakers, annual recitation of the Gettysburg Address, and candidates taking the Oath of Citizenship. Sponsored by the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania, Gettysburg College, Gettysburg National Military Park and the Gettysburg Foundation.
REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE AND CEREMONIES – NOVEMBER
Remembrance Day is an annual event held in conjunction with the Gettysburg Address anniversary. A parade of Civil War living history groups begins at 1:00 p.m. and ends at the National Park.

PUTTING ON THE GENERAL; DRESSING THE LADY – JANUARY
Veteran re-enactors, Patrick and Joanne Dunigan will entertain and educate us at a luncheon at the Dobbin House at noon. For anyone who has considered becoming a re-enactor, this is a not-to-be-missed event. In the evening we will join the Civil War Dance group at the Fairfield Town Hall for an informal evening of Civil War dance. A luncheon buffet will be served.
